Drawing

Well here's my sketch for the illustrator class. After I worked so hard on it I looked at the examples and this is more drawing than sketch! Oh well! I'll post the illustrator picture when Im done with it.

Drawing

So, I mentioned that I was taking that Illustrator class, the thing that worries me the most is that I'll have to draw (well, sketch) some things. I am awfull at drawing, so I've been checking out some internet tips and found this about.com blog with some nice lessons.This is her intro lesson, but there is some nice stuff in the archives too.

Long time

Has it really been that long? I've been working on a blog template, I have the basic but I'm trying to fancy it up a bit. That and now school will be taking up alot of my time. I'm taking an illustrator class and a photoshop class wich should put alot of posts here!

Banners

Heres the banner for my wife's blog. It was a few layers in Illustrator, a clear ruler (opacity ~40), a purple graidient mesh background (button tut here) and some text (the t's used to be capitol) imported into PS and made into an animated gif. You have to click the banner or refresh the page to see it in action. Now I just need to make one for this site!

My after Effects teacher was going on about some photo he took an edited in PS so I snapped this shot and did something similar.
